This Yellow Uncapping Scratcher is used when harvesting honey regardless of whether you have one hive or 10,000. The hard-to-replace tool is needed to remove cappings from honey frames before extracting.  

The multiple tines pick at cappings to expose the delicious honey underneath each capping. Even when using a knife or other uncapping tool, these scratchers are essential for opening the cappings that other tools can't get to.  

Capping scratchers can also be used to break open drone cells to disrupt the varroa reproduction life cycle or to inspect growing drones for varroa mites.  

Strong tines for picking at cappings are attached to the molded plastic body, so it's durable and can be cleaned with soap and water.
